FACIAL SURGERY
Sonrisa Gingival
The gingival smile is due to the poor implantation of the depressant muscle of the nasal tip and the overactivity of the orbicularis of the lips. That is why when you laugh, you usually also descend the nasal tip.
Depending on the degree of alteration presented by the patient, which may be mild if only the gingiva is shown, moderate if the nasal or severe tip is also descended if a depression forms in the upper labial region, one or both muscles must be corrected.
